We believe in the power of collaboration with purpose.

Founded by Simon Bell in 2023 Future Flux is his answer to 'What next?'.

Being an exited InsurTech founder (sold LOGiQ3 Group to RGA Re in 2018) he spent 5 years working within RGAX while beginning to build an Angel portfolio.

While still learning about what it means to be a 'good Angel' (there are 'Bad Angels' apparently) Simon has now invested in 21 different companies across InsurTech/FinTech, CleanTech and Health/MedTech.

Who We Work With

Rebel Syndicate

Simon helped found the Rebel syndicate (in December 2022) named as the first meeting was held in the Tiny Rebel pub in Cardiff, there was going to be a better name thought of later but that never happened so, we are the 'Rebel syndicate'.

The Rebel syndicate is an InsurTech/FinTech focused Angel group based in Cardiff, Wales.

The Rebels have made 5 investments to date - links below are to the companies and to the thesis write-up:

With over 20 individual Angels involved.  The investments have all been match funded by the Development Bank of Wales through its Angel Invest Wales program (see below for information on AIW)

Angel Invest Wales (AIW)

The team at Angel Invest Wales are part of the Development Bank of Wales looking to develop the Angel ecosystem to support Welsh businesses.

With a match funding approach (initially £8M fund) they are able to match up to £250K of private Angel investment into a business to give an early stage business a total of £500K to hit milestones and develop the business.

Tramshed Tech

Since they opened their doors in 2016, Louise Harris and team have had a huge positive impact on the early stage eco-system in Cardiff and South Wales. 

Many of the better investment pitches I've seen over last few years have been from members of the Tramshed community and many of my portfolio are active members now.

Starting out as a co-working space, Tramshed has evolved to offer training and skills support, start-up and scale up programs and recently even became my favourite local coffee shop in Da!

We have been collaborating on 'Founders Day' which we'll share more details about soon..
